The main screen then shows what you can spend today: your available money divided by the days left until your next cutoff.
You can log amounts in another currency; they are converted to your base currency with the current exchange rate. Your daily allowance updates immediately.
Tap the list icon at the top left of the main screen to open Detail: your balance, what's reserved for subscriptions and savings, your available money, your next cutoff, and this period's movements. Tap See full history to review, edit, or delete any movement.
Active subscriptions due in the current pay period are set aside from your available money and recorded automatically as expenses on their due date. Tap a subscription to mark it as paid or pending, and deactivate it any time — deactivating it reverts the automatic charges it made in the current period.
In Settings you can switch between twice a month and once a month, change your cutoff days or payday, edit your Total balance (the App records the difference as a balance adjustment in your history), and set a Savings reserve that is kept apart from your daily allowance.
In Settings → Exchange rates, tap Update exchange rates to download the latest rates. You can add a travel currency for a trip — it appears as a chip on the main screen (touch and hold it to change it) — and optionally enter a manual rate to match the one you actually got.
Al Corte is available in English, Español, and Português (Brasil). Change it from Settings → Language. The change applies immediately and persists across sessions.
No. The App never connects to any bank, card, or financial institution and never asks for banking credentials. Every amount is entered by you, which is why your numbers stay private.
It's an estimate based only on what you enter: your balance, your movements, your subscriptions, and your savings reserve, divided by the days left until your next cutoff. It doesn't know about pending card charges, fees, or taxes. Al Corte is a budgeting calculator, not financial advice.
The App uses public reference rates from free providers (Frankfurter, the fawazahmed0 currency API, and ExchangeRate-API). Banks, cards, and exchange houses apply their own rates and fees. If you know the rate you actually got, enter it as a manual rate in Settings.
Only to download exchange rates. Everything else works offline. Without a connection, the App keeps using the last rates it downloaded, or your manual rate.
Never. Al Corte has no backend of its own, no account, no analytics, and no ads. Your balance, movements, subscriptions, and settings stay on your iPhone. Exchange-rate requests contain only currency codes — never your amounts. See our Privacy Policy.
Al Corte does not sync your data between devices or through iCloud. Your data lives in the App on this iPhone and, like other app data, is included in your iPhone's device backup (iCloud Backup or a computer backup) if you have that turned on. If you delete the App, its data is deleted with it.
Use Settings → Reset money & expenses to delete your balance and every movement (subscriptions, categories, and settings are kept), or delete the App to remove everything permanently. Nothing remains on any server of ours because nothing was ever sent to one.
No. Al Corte is free, with no In-App Purchases, no subscription, no ads, and no paywall. The subscriptions you register in the App are only reminders of your own recurring expenses — the App never charges or pays anything.
Currently iPhone only.
Any iPhone running iOS 26 or later.
