1. Grant camera and notification access when asked.
2. On Android, follow the checklist: allow unrestricted battery use, exact alarms and, on Xiaomi/Redmi/POCO phones, autostart. On iPhone there are no battery or autostart steps.
3. Choose your 3-digit PIN. You will need it to disarm and to silence the siren.
4. Optionally connect Telegram (see below) so evidence leaves the phone immediately.

1. In the app, open the Telegram setup (during onboarding or in Settings → Telegram) and accept sending evidence to Telegram.
2. Tap Open BotFather, send /newbot, choose a name and a username ending in “bot”.
3. Copy the token BotFather gives you and paste it in the app. The app checks it with Telegram.
4. Open your new bot and tap Start, then tap Detect my chat. For a group, add the bot to the group and send a message there first.
5. Send the test message. When it arrives, tap Save.

To change bot or chat later, use Settings → Telegram → Reconfigure. Disconnect deletes the token from the phone.

1. Plug the phone into a charger. Surveillance runs for days and needs constant power.
2. Point it at the entrance. The rear camera has a better sensor; you can switch cameras in Settings.
3. Tap Leave — Arm. The exit countdown gives you time to leave before it starts watching.
4. On Android, you can turn the screen off; surveillance keeps running and a notification shows it is active.

On iPhone: keep Webcam Security open in the foreground. iOS does not let any app use the camera in the background, so if the iPhone locks or you switch apps, surveillance stops — the app then sends a notice to your Telegram and shows a notification so you can tap to resume. Use stealth mode to darken the screen; iOS keeps its green camera indicator on while the camera is in use.

The siren sounds (if enabled), the app takes three photos a few seconds apart and keeps the sharpest, records a 15-second clip if video is enabled, and sends the evidence to your Telegram. After the siren ends, surveillance re-arms by itself.

Android does not allow a camera app to start on its own after a restart. Webcam Security shows a notification — tap it and surveillance resumes where it was.

On iPhone, no app can restart the camera by itself. After a restart, open Webcam Security and arm it again.

No. Videos have no audio track and the app never requests microphone access.

Android phones running Android 8.0 or later, from Google Play, and iPhone running iOS 26 or later, from the App Store. The iPhone version is designed for iPhone only.

No. Photos and videos are saved in the app's private storage, and the app never asks for access to your photo library. You can view and delete them in the app's Gallery.

No. There are no developer servers. Evidence stays on the phone and, if you connect it, goes directly to your own Telegram bot.

On Android, this is almost always battery optimization. Set battery usage to Unrestricted for the app; on Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO also enable Autostart and lock the app in Recents.

On iPhone, surveillance only runs while the app is open in the foreground. Keep the iPhone plugged in with Webcam Security open; if the app was closed or went to the background, you'll get a Telegram notice and a notification to resume.

Check that the phone has internet, that sending is enabled in Settings → Telegram, and that you tapped Start in your bot. Run the setup again to send a new test message.

No. Updates from Google Play keep your settings, PIN and Telegram connection. They are only erased if you uninstall the app, clear its data in Android settings, or move to a new phone (the bot token is encrypted with a key that never leaves this phone, so it isn't copied to backups). In those cases, run the Telegram setup again in about two minutes.

On iPhone, App Store updates also keep everything. The bot token is saved in the iOS Keychain as “this device only”, so on a new iPhone, or after reinstalling, you run the Telegram setup again.

Android requires a visible notification whenever an app uses the camera in the background. It also guarantees that the camera never runs covertly.

iOS shows a green indicator whenever an app uses the camera. It stays on while surveillance is armed or while you watch the live view, even in stealth mode. The camera never records hidden from the system.

Gradual changes are filtered, but moving shadows can still trigger an alert. Lower the sensitivity in Settings and avoid pointing the camera at windows.

Gallery → delete all removes the evidence; Settings → Telegram → Disconnect removes the token; uninstalling removes all app data. Messages already sent must be deleted in Telegram.

No. On Android, the purchase belongs to your Google account: install it from Google Play on any Android device signed in with the same account, at no extra cost. On iPhone, it belongs to your Apple Account: download it again from the App Store (your account → Purchased) on any iPhone signed in with the same account. The two stores are separate: a Google Play purchase does not unlock the iPhone version, and vice versa.
