One-line summary Walkie-Talkie does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. Your voice never reaches our servers — we don't have any. All audio is exchanged directly between nearby iPhones over Apple's encrypted MultipeerConnectivity link.

1. Who we are

This app is published by Ingeniería.dev, operated by Chris Flores. You can reach us at christian@irack.mx.

2. What we collect

Nothing. The app has no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, no crash reporter that exfiltrates data, no account system, no telemetry endpoint, and no remote configuration server.

The app collects exactly zero pieces of personal information: no name, no email, no phone, no contacts, no photos, no calendar, no location, no advertising identifier, no IDFA, no IDFV that we transmit anywhere.

3. What stays on your device

The following data is saved locally on your iPhone using SwiftData. It never leaves your device:

Nickname — the display name you choose. Other connected iPhones see it as part of the Bluetooth/Wi-Fi handshake, but it never leaves the local link.
Voice effect preference — Robot, Helium, Monster, Radio, or none.
Toggles — sound effects on/off, haptic feedback on/off.

You can wipe this data at any time by deleting the app.

4. How voice audio is handled

When you hold the talk button:

The microphone captures audio buffers in mono PCM Float32 at 16 kHz.
Those buffers are sent directly to other iPhones connected via Apple's MultipeerConnectivity framework, using encryption preference .required.
The receiving device decodes and plays the audio. If a voice effect is selected on the receiver, it is applied on that device before playback.
Audio is not recorded, persisted to disk, sent to any server, or shared with third parties.

5. Permissions and why we ask for them

Permission	Why
Microphone	To capture your voice while you hold the talk button. The recording is streamed in real time to nearby connected iPhones and is never saved.
Local Network	To discover other iPhones running this app on the same Wi-Fi or peer-to-peer link via Apple's Bonjour service type `_walkietalkie._tcp`.
Bluetooth	To establish a peer-to-peer link with nearby iPhones when Wi-Fi is unavailable or weaker. Bluetooth is used only for discovery and transport — no pairing with external accessories.

The app does not request location, contacts, photos, calendar, reminders, motion, health, or any other sensitive permission.

6. Third-party services

The app does not embed any third-party SDK, analytics service, ads network, or remote configuration system. The only frameworks used are first-party Apple frameworks shipped with iOS (MultipeerConnectivity, AVFoundation, SwiftUI, SwiftData, CoreBluetooth, Network).

7. Children

Walkie-Talkie is rated 4+ and may be used by people of any age. We do not target the app exclusively at children, and the app is not in the App Store Kids category. Because the app collects no personal information, it does not knowingly collect data from children under 13 in compliance with COPPA.

8. Your rights

Because we do not collect or store personal data, there is nothing for us to access, correct, export, or delete on your behalf. If you have any questions, email us at christian@irack.mx.

9. Changes to this policy

If we ever change how the app handles data, we will update this page and publish a new app version. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent revision.
