Open the app and tap the + button to create a new board. Give it a name (e.g., "Greetings" or "Food") and choose an icon or color. Then tap Add Button to start adding communication buttons to that board.
When editing a button, tap the image area and choose Camera (to take a new photo) or Photo Library (to pick an existing photo). The photo is saved inside the app only — your photo library is not modified.
The first time you use either option, iOS will ask for Camera or Photo Library permission. You can also grant or revoke these permissions in Settings → Privacy & Security.
Open the button editor and tap Record Audio. Press and hold the record button, speak the message clearly, then release to stop. You can play back the recording to check it before saving.
If you have not granted Microphone permission yet, iOS will prompt you at this point. You can manage microphone access in Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone.
Every button that does not have a custom audio recording uses Apple's built-in text-to-speech engine to speak the button label aloud when tapped. No internet connection is required — speech synthesis runs fully on-device.
You can adjust the voice, speed, and pitch in the app's Settings screen.
Yes. You can create as many boards as you need and organize them by theme or situation (e.g., "At school", "Feelings", "Food and drink"). Swipe or tap the board selector at the top of the main screen to switch between boards.
No. TouchTalk Pro collects zero personal data. The app makes no network requests. Your boards, photos, and audio recordings never leave your device. See the full Privacy Policy for details.
All data — vocabulary boards, button photos, audio recordings, and preferences — is stored in the app's private sandbox on your iPhone. It is not synced to iCloud, not backed up to any server, and not accessible to other apps.
Your data may be included in your standard iPhone backup (iCloud Backup or Finder/iTunes backup) if you have backups enabled in iOS Settings.
Deleting TouchTalk Pro removes all app data — boards, photos, recordings, and preferences — permanently from your device. There is no way to recover data after the app is deleted unless you restore from an iPhone backup.
We recommend using your iPhone's built-in backup before deleting the app if you want to preserve your boards.
Check the following:
TouchTalk Pro needs permission to access your camera or photo library. Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera (or Photos) and make sure TouchTalk Pro is set to Allow.
This should not happen during a normal update. If your boards are missing, please contact us immediately at christian@irack.mx with your iOS version and the previous app version you had installed. If you have an iPhone backup from before the update, you may be able to restore your data via Finder or iTunes.
