This agreement is entered into between you (the end user) and Ingeniería.dev, operated by Chris Flores, with its registered address at Av. Javier Barros Sierra 495, Santa Fe Lomas de Santa Fe Zedec Santa Fé, Álvaro Obregón 01219, Mexico City, CDMX, Mexico. Contact: [email protected].
Stepper Pro is an iOS application that counts the steps you take while walking — in particular on a gym treadmill, where the body stays in place and generic step counters tend to undercount. It reads the device's motion sensors through Apple's CoreMotion framework and detects the rhythm of your stride entirely on the device. It shows a live step count, elapsed time and cadence while you walk, and keeps a local history of the walks you choose to save. If you grant the optional Location permission, the App also determines on the device whether you are walking on a treadmill or outdoors and, outdoors, measures the distance you cover and draws your route on a map. The App stores all data locally and requires no account. It needs no internet connection to count steps or record a walk; only the map imagery behind a saved route, which is provided by Apple Maps, requires one.
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Stepper Pro on iOS devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and to Apple's Standard EULA.
Stepper Pro is free. The App contains no In-App Purchases, no subscriptions, no advertising, and no paid content. There is nothing to buy, nothing to cancel, and nothing to restore.
Stepper Pro does not require you to create an account or sign up. The App works immediately after installation without any login, email, or personal identifier.
See our Privacy Policy. In short: your walk history, including any routes and distances, lives on your device; we do not collect or transmit personal information, and the App makes no network requests of its own. Location access is optional, is used only while a walk is in progress and the App is in the foreground, and is never transmitted.
Do not use Stepper Pro as the basis for any medical decision, rehabilitation protocol, or prescribed exercise program. If you have a heart condition, a mobility impairment, an injury, or any health condition affected by physical activity — or if you are pregnant — consult a licensed physician before starting or changing an exercise routine.
Exercise carries inherent risks. You are solely responsible for your own safety while using a treadmill or any other exercise equipment, including reading and following the equipment manufacturer's instructions and your gym's rules. When you walk outdoors, stay aware of traffic and your surroundings, and do not look at the screen while crossing a street. Stop exercising immediately and seek medical attention if you feel pain, dizziness, shortness of breath, or any other concerning symptom.
The App infers steps from the motion of the device carried on your body. Accuracy depends on where and how you carry the phone, your gait, your walking speed, and the characteristics of the surface or machine you are walking on. Counts may be higher or lower than the actual number of steps taken, and may differ from the figure shown by a treadmill console, a fitness tracker, or another app. Outdoor distance and routes are derived from the device's location services, whose accuracy varies with satellite reception, surrounding buildings, tree cover, and weather; the recorded distance and route may differ from the distance and path you actually walked, and the automatic treadmill-or-outdoors determination may occasionally be wrong. Do not rely on the App for navigation. The Developer makes no representation that any count, distance, or route is exact and disclaims any warranty of measurement accuracy.
Counting steps requires the App to read the motion sensors continuously while a walk is running, which consumes battery faster than an idle app. If you allow Location, the App also uses the device's location services while a walk is in progress, which consumes additional battery. Counting is active only while a walk is running and stops when you pause or finish it. The Developer is not responsible for battery wear, reduced battery life, or any hardware effect caused by extended use. You are responsible for placing and securing your device safely while exercising; the Developer is not responsible for any damage to or loss of your device.
Stepper Pro, its code, design, interface, text, and brand are the property of Ingeniería.dev and are protected by Mexican and international intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer any ownership to you — only a license to use the App. Your walk history remains your property; the Developer has no access to it.
The App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without any express or implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, measurement accuracy, or uninterrupted operation.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, nor for any health, physical, financial, personal, or property loss arising from your use of or inability to use the App, or from any action taken or not taken based on the App's output. The Developer's aggregate liability shall not exceed USD $50.
You agree to indemnify and hold the Developer harmless from any claims arising from: (a) your improper use of the App, (b) injury sustained while exercising, (c) your violation of these Terms, or (d) your violation of third-party rights.
We may suspend or terminate your license if you breach these Terms. You may terminate this license at any time by uninstalling the App.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be published at this URL, along with the date of the update. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes your acceptance. Material changes will also be announced inside the App.
Apple Inc. is not a party to this agreement and is not responsible for the App or its content. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and Apple's Standard EULA, the terms more restrictive and applicable to Apple under the App Store Review Guidelines shall prevail.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Mexican States. Any dispute shall be submitted to the competent courts of Mexico City, and both parties expressly waive any other jurisdiction that might otherwise apply based on current or future domicile.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
