Stepper Pro · Last updated: September 16, 2026 · Version 1.0

One-line summary We do not collect or receive any personal data. Your motion readings, your optional location readings, your walk history, and your routes stay on your device.

1. Who we are

Stepper Pro (hereinafter, "the App") is developed and operated by Ingeniería.dev, led by Chris Flores (hereinafter, "we", "the Developer").

2. What data we collect

None. "Collect" here means what it means on the App Store privacy label: data that leaves your device and reaches us or a third party. Nothing does. Stepper Pro was built with privacy by default. The App:

3. Motion and location access

Stepper Pro uses two sensitive permissions: Motion & Fitness, which it needs in order to count steps, and Location, which is optional. Both are processed on your device and neither is transmitted anywhere.

3.1 Motion & Fitness

The App requests access to Motion & Fitness to count the steps you take while walking.

3.2 Location (optional)

The App asks for Location — While Using the App. It never asks for "Always" access and never reads your location in the background.

4. What is stored on your device

The App stores locally (using SwiftData) only what's needed to show your history and settings:

DataPurposeLocation
Saved walks (start time, end time, step count, active duration, average cadence) Display your walk history Device (SwiftData)
Outdoor walks only, and only if you allowed Location: distance covered and the route (the sequence of positions recorded during that walk) Show the distance and draw the route on a map in your walk history Device (SwiftData)
App preferences (language, onboarding state) Remember your settings between sessions Device (UserDefaults)

That is the complete list. No identifier of you, your device, or your Apple Account is stored. This data is never sent to the Developer's servers. If you delete a walk from the history, it is removed permanently together with its route; if you delete the App, all of this information is removed with it.

5. External services

Stepper Pro does not use any external services of its own. The App's code makes no network requests. It has no backend, no cloud sync, no analytics provider, no advertising network, and no crash reporter. Step counting works fully offline, including in airplane mode.

5.1 Apple Maps (MapKit)

When you open a saved outdoor walk, the App draws its route on a map using Apple MapKit, a framework that is part of iOS. The map imagery is loaded by Apple's system from Apple's servers; to do that, the system necessarily asks for the area of the map being displayed. Those requests are made by iOS, not by the App's own code, and they are governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. The App never uploads your recorded route, your distance, or your walk history to Apple, to us, or to anyone else. Without an internet connection the route is still recorded and saved; only the map background may not load.

6. System permissions

Stepper Pro requests only the permissions it actually uses:

The App does not request access to: "Always" or background location, camera, microphone, contacts, calendar, reminders, photos, media library, Bluetooth, local network, notifications, health data, or HealthKit.

7. Marketing and advertising

The App displays no ads. We do not collect data for remarketing, profiling, segmentation, behavioral analysis, or any promotional purpose. We do not participate in ad networks, and we do not sell information to third parties. The App never requests App Tracking Transparency permission because it performs no tracking of any kind.

8. Minors

The App is rated 4+. Because the App requires no registration and collects no data, it complies with COPPA (US), LGPD Infantil (Brazil), and GDPR-K (EU) by design.

9. User rights (GDPR, CCPA, LFPDPPP, LGPD)

Even though we collect no data, the following rights are guaranteed by design:

For any questions about your rights, please email [email protected].

10. Fitness context

Stepper Pro is a consumer fitness app, not a medical device. Step counts, cadence, distance, and duration are estimates produced by on-device processing and are intended for your personal reference only. They are not clinical measurements and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. No data produced by Stepper Pro is transmitted to HealthKit, to any health provider, or to any third party.

11. Security

Local data is stored inside the iOS sandbox, protected by the operating system and by device-level disk encryption (Apple's Data Protection API). The App's database is inaccessible to other apps on the device.

12. International transfers

We do not perform international transfers of personal data because we do not store personal data on any server. Your walks and routes never leave your device.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the App or to applicable law. The current version will always be published at this URL, along with the date of the last update. Material changes will also be announced inside the App.

14. Governing law

This Policy is governed by the laws of the United Mexican States, in particular the Federal Law on Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (LFPDPPP). Any dispute will be submitted to the competent courts of Mexico City.
