Terms of Use

Stackcut · Last updated: October 8, 2026 · Version 1.0

Before you continue By downloading, installing, or using Stackcut, you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App. The App is governed by Apple's Standard EULA and these supplemental terms.

1. Parties

This agreement is entered into between you (the end user) and Ingeniería.dev, operated by Christian Irack, with its registered address at Av. Javier Barros Sierra 495, Santa Fe Lomas de Santa Fe Zedec Santa Fé, Álvaro Obregón 01219, Mexico City, CDMX, Mexico. Contact: [email protected].

2. App description

Stackcut (hereinafter, "Stackcut" or "the App") is an iPhone video editor built around layers, without effects. You import videos and photos with the iOS photo picker and stack them in free layers — up to 6 videos playing at once, plus photos and simple text layers — on a 9:16, 1:1, 4:5 or 16:9 canvas. You can move, scale and rotate each layer on the canvas; trim and split clips; change a clip's speed from 0.25× to 4× with the audio's pitch preserved; adjust opacity, crop and rounded corners; set the volume of each layer; undo and redo; and export in 1080p or 4K at 30 or 60 fps, in HEVC or H.264, to save to Photos or share. It is available in English, Spanish, Portuguese (Brazil), German, Italian, French, Simplified Chinese and Japanese, works on your iPhone without an account, and keeps your projects on your device.

3. License

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Stackcut on iOS devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and to Apple's Standard EULA.

3.1 Restrictions

4. Purchase

4.1 Price

Stackcut is a paid app with a one-time purchase of $4.99 USD (pricing may vary per country according to Apple's App Store price tiers). There are no subscriptions, no auto-renewals, no in-app purchases, and no premium tiers. Every feature of the App is unlocked from the first launch.

4.2 Purchase processing

The purchase is processed exclusively by Apple through your Apple ID on the App Store. Apple acts as the payment processor; we never have access to your payment card, billing address, or any other payment data.

4.3 No recurring charges

Because the purchase is a one-time transaction, there is nothing to cancel. You will not be billed again. The App does not auto-renew and has no billing cycle.

4.4 Download it again

If you reinstall the App, or install it on another iPhone signed into the same Apple ID, the App Store recognizes the purchase automatically — no action is required inside the App. To download it again, open the App Store, tap your profile picture and choose Purchased.

4.5 Family Sharing

Stackcut supports Family Sharing. If you have Family Sharing enabled on your Apple ID, members of your family can install and use the App on their own iPhone without paying again. Configure it in Settings → [your name] → Family or follow Apple's guide: support.apple.com/en-us/108380.

4.6 Refunds

All refunds are handled by Apple, not by the Developer. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, locate the Stackcut purchase, and follow the refund flow. Apple applies its own refund policies.

4.7 Managing your payment method

Your Apple ID payment method is managed at account.apple.com or in Settings → [your name] → Payment & Shipping. Apple's guide: support.apple.com/en-us/118429.

5. Accounts and authentication

Stackcut does not require you to create an account or sign up. The App works immediately after installation without any login, email, or personal identifier. Your purchase is tied to your Apple ID, not to an account with us.

6. User data

See our Privacy Policy. In short: your projects, imported media and exports live on your iPhone and are never uploaded by the App; and the App measures how it is used with our own anonymous first-party analytics, which never include your videos, photos, text or file names.

7. Your content

8. Intellectual property

Stackcut, its code, design, interface, icon, text, and brand are the property of Ingeniería.dev and are protected by Mexican and international intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer any ownership to you — only a license to use the App. Your content belongs to you.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without any express or implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that the App will be error-free or that exports will succeed on every device, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, nor for any loss arising from your use of or inability to use the App, including the loss of projects, media or exports stored on your device. The Developer's aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App, or USD $50, whichever is greater. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived under the laws of your country of residence.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold the Developer harmless from any claims arising from: (a) your use of the App in violation of these Terms, (b) the content you create, export or publish with the App, or (c) your violation of third-party rights.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your license if you breach these Terms. You may terminate this license at any time by uninstalling the App. Uninstalling does not cancel or refund a completed purchase; it stays on your Apple ID. Uninstalling does delete your projects and imported media, which exist only on your device (and in your iCloud backups, if you have them turned on). Save or share the videos you want to keep first.

13. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be published at this URL, along with the date of the update. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes your acceptance. Material changes will also be announced inside the App.

14. Relationship with Apple

Apple Inc. is not a party to this agreement and is not responsible for the App or its content. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and Apple's Standard EULA, the terms more restrictive and applicable to Apple under the App Store Review Guidelines shall prevail.

15. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Mexican States. Any dispute shall be submitted to the competent courts of Mexico City, and both parties expressly waive any other jurisdiction that might otherwise apply based on current or future domicile, to the extent permitted by the mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
