We reply within 48 business hours, Monday through Friday (Mexico City time). You can write in English, Spanish or Portuguese.
Up to 6 video layers can play at once, plus any number of photo and text layers. If you reach the limit, move a clip onto an existing layer or remove one. Stackcut works with copies of your media, so your originals in Photos are never changed.
Tap a clip to select it, then drag, pinch and rotate it right on the canvas; guides snap to the center and the edges. For exact values, open Position to set the horizontal and vertical position, scale and rotation, or tap Center, Fill or Reset.
In the timeline, the top lane shows on top of the canvas. Drag a lane by its handle (≡) to reorder it, or select a clip and use Layer up / Layer down.
Select a clip and drag its edges in the timeline to trim it (with Edges: trim selected). To cut a clip in two, move the playhead to the spot and tap Split. Photos and text layers can last from 0.5 to 60 seconds: drag their edge or set it in Duration.
Select a video clip and open Speed to choose a factor from 0.25× (slow motion) to 4× (faster). You can also switch the edge mode to Edges: speed and drag the clip's edge: longer means slower, shorter means faster. The audio keeps its pitch.
Select a clip and open Opacity to set its opacity and rounded corners, or Crop to trim the top, bottom, left or right of the frame. Tap Remove crop to undo it.
Tap Aa (Add text) to add a text layer, then type your text and choose its font (Bold, Rounded, Serif, Mono, Condensed or Marker), color and size. Move it on the canvas like any other layer.
Select a video clip and open Volume, or tap the speaker icon on its lane. Volume and mute apply to every video on that layer.
Use the curved arrows at the top of the editor to undo or redo your last changes.
On Projects, touch and hold a project and choose Rename or Delete. Deleting removes the edit and its imported media copies from your iPhone; your originals in Photos are not touched. It can't be undone.
Open About and use the Language selector to choose English, Español, Português (Brasil), Deutsch, Italiano, Français, 简体中文 or 日本語. The change applies across the whole App.
Stackcut is a paid download of $4.99 USD, one-time (prices vary by country). There are no subscriptions, no in-app purchases and no ads. Every feature is included.
No. Stackcut is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. Nothing renews and you will never be charged again.
Your projects are stored on your old iPhone, not in the purchase. They move to a new iPhone only if you restore it from an iCloud or computer backup; export the videos you want to keep first.
Refunds are decided and processed by Apple, not by the developer.
Your payment method belongs to your Apple ID. Update it in Settings → [your name] → Payment & Shipping or at account.apple.com. Apple's guide: support.apple.com/en-us/118429.
Stackcut supports Family Sharing. Members of your family group can download it on their own iPhone without paying again. Set it up in Settings → [your name] → Family; Apple's guide: support.apple.com/en-us/108380. Each person's projects stay on their own iPhone.
No, on purpose. Stackcut is a layer editor: stacking, moving, trimming, splitting, speed, opacity, crop, rounded corners, text and volume. It leaves out filters and effects so the everyday edits stay fast.
No. Stackcut works completely without registration. No email, no password, no sign-in.
No. Your projects, imported media and exports are stored only on your iPhone (and in your iCloud backups, if they are on). The App never uploads your videos, photos or text. Our first-party analytics measure how the App is used, never your content, and are not linked to your identity. See our Privacy Policy.
Stackcut uses the iOS photo picker, which runs outside the App: it receives only the items you choose and can't read the rest of your library. That's why it never asks for permission to read your photos.
Saving to Photos needs add-only access. Allow it in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Photos › Stackcut, or use Share to send the video anywhere without that permission.
Some combinations of resolution, frame rate and format aren't supported on every iPhone, and 4K at 60 fps with many layers needs more power and free storage. Try H.264 or 1080p, free up some storage, keep the App open while it exports, and try again. If it keeps failing, email us with the details below.
No. Stackcut works with copies inside the App. Deleting a project or the App never touches the originals in your photo library.
Which screens are opened and a short list of actions (for example, a project created with its canvas format, how many videos and photos were imported, and exports started or completed with their resolution, frame rate and format), App and iOS versions, device model, approximate country and city derived from the connection, and crash, performance and error reports. It runs on our own server, it is never sold or shared, it is never used for advertising, and it is kept for up to 13 months. It never includes your videos, photos, text or file names. To ask for deletion, email [email protected].
Any iPhone running iOS 26 or later. The App is iPhone-only; iPad is not supported at this time.

Of course. Email [email protected] and tell us what would make your edits faster. Every idea is read, and the most requested ones shape the next updates.
Delete a project from Projects, or everything by uninstalling the App: your projects, imported media copies and preferences are permanently removed from your device. Save or share the videos you want to keep first. There is no account to close. For the anonymous analytics data, email us and we'll delete it.
