The story behind Mamá Primeriza
Mamá Primeriza started with a phone screen lighting up a dark bedroom at 3 a.m.
A first-time mother in my family kept doing the same thing every night: a question she was too embarrassed to ask again, typed into a search box, answered by a forum where five strangers said five different things, wrapped in ads and somebody's opinion. She wasn't looking for a community. She was looking for one clear sentence she could trust, right then, without waking anyone up.
So I built the opposite of a forum. Everything in Mamá Primeriza comes from official health organizations — WHO, CDC, ACOG, the AAP, Mexico's Secretaría de Salud, Brazil's Ministério da Saúde — and every card tells you which one, so you can check it yourself. It lives entirely inside your phone: it doesn't ask who you are, it can't send anything anywhere, and it works with the airplane mode on in a hospital hallway.
