We reply within 48 business hours, Monday through Friday (Mexico City time). You can write in English, Spanish or Portuguese. We can help with the App, but we can't give medical advice.

How to use the App

Record a measurement with 3 photos
  1. Sit and rest as your monitor's instructions recommend, then take your 3 readings in a row
  2. On Measure, tap Analyze 3 photos
  3. After each reading, photograph the monitor's screen — frame only the screen, without glare. You can also tap Photos to pick them from your library
  4. Tap Analyze. BP Lens reads systolic, diastolic and pulse from each photo
  5. Check every number against your monitor, correct anything if needed, and tap Save

The first time, the App explains what happens to your photos and asks for your consent. Tap a photo in the tray to remove and retake it.

Enter readings by hand

On Measure, tap Enter by hand and type systolic, diastolic and (optionally) pulse for each reading. Reading 1 is enough to save, but the home protocol recommends 3 readings for a reliable average. Manual entry works offline and has no monthly limit.

Tips for photos the App can read
Understand the category

Each record shows an informational category from the 2017 ACC/AHA guideline, based on its average:

The category is information, not a diagnosis. Source: Whelton PK, et al. Hypertension. 2018;71:e13–e115, doi:10.1161/HYP.0000000000000065.

Read your report

Every 3 days, BP Lens prepares a report on the Report tab for the last 7 and 30 days: your average, morning and evening averages, how much your readings vary, whether they are rising, and your level in plain words. The report's verdict uses home-reading thresholds (135/85 at home corresponds to 140/90 at the doctor's office). It needs at least 3 days of measurements. Tap Share report to send it, for example to your doctor.

Get a notice when a new report is ready

On the Report tab, tap Notify me about new reports. iOS asks for notification permission the first time. The notice says only "Your report is ready", with no numbers. If it doesn't appear, check iOS Settings → Apps → BP Lens → Notifications and any active Focus mode.

Add your health profile (optional)

Open My health profile from the Report tab or from About. Your age, weight, height, exercise and conditions personalize the advice in your report. The profile is stored only on your iPhone and is never sent to our server or to the AI. Tap Delete my profile to remove it — it is also removed from your past reports.

See your history and trend

History lists every record by day; tap one to see its 3 readings, or swipe to delete it. Trend charts your systolic and diastolic over 7, 30 or 90 days and needs at least 2 records.

Export your readings (CSV)

On Trend, tap Export CSV to share your whole history as a spreadsheet for Numbers, Excel or your doctor. The file goes only where you choose to send it.

Change the language

Open About and use the Language selector to choose English, Español or Português (Brasil). The change applies across the whole App.

Purchase and Apple ID

How much does BP Lens cost?

BP Lens is a paid download of $2.99 USD, one-time (prices vary by country). There are no subscriptions, no in-app purchases and no ads. Every feature is included.

Do I need to cancel anything?

No. BP Lens is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. Nothing renews and you will never be charged again.

Download it again on a new iPhone
  1. Sign in to the same Apple ID you used to buy BP Lens
  2. Open the App Store, tap your profile picture and choose Purchased
  3. Find BP Lens and download it at no cost

Your records are stored on your old iPhone, not in the purchase. They move to a new iPhone only if you restore it from an iCloud or computer backup; you can also export a CSV first.

Request a refund
  1. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com
  2. Sign in with your Apple ID
  3. Find the BP Lens purchase
  4. Choose Request a refund and follow the steps

Refunds are decided and processed by Apple, not by the developer.

Manage your payment method

Your payment method belongs to your Apple ID. Update it in Settings → [your name] → Payment & Shipping or at account.apple.com. Apple's guide: support.apple.com/en-us/118429.

Family Sharing

BP Lens supports Family Sharing. Members of your family group can download it on their own iPhone without paying again. Set it up in Settings → [your name] → Family; Apple's guide: support.apple.com/en-us/108380. Each person's records stay on their own iPhone.

Frequently asked questions

Is BP Lens a medical device?

No. BP Lens is a diary: your own monitor measures your blood pressure, and the App reads, averages and saves the numbers. It does not diagnose or treat anything and does not replace the advice of a health professional. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.

Do I need to create an account?

No. BP Lens works completely without registration. No email, no password, no sign-in.

What happens to my photos?

Only if you agree, your 3 photos are sent encrypted to our server just to read the numbers, without their metadata. They are processed by an AI model from Anthropic (Claude), which may keep them under its privacy policy. We don't keep your photos — not on our server and not on your iPhone. You can withdraw consent anytime in About › Third-party AI analysis and keep entering readings by hand. Details in our Privacy Policy.

Do you store my data on any server?

Your health data, no. Your measurements, reports and health profile are stored only on your iPhone (and in your iCloud backups, if they are on). Our server keeps only a salted hash of a random device identifier and a technical record of each analysis — never your numbers or photos — to apply the monthly limit. Our first-party analytics measure how the App is used, never your health values, and are not linked to your identity. See our Privacy Policy.

I reached the monthly limit

Photo reading includes a monthly number of photo readings per device, so the service stays available for everyone. The App shows the date it renews. Every analysis that reaches the reader counts, even if a photo turns out to be unreadable. In the meantime, Enter by hand works with no limit.

The reader isn't available or I have no internet

Photo reading needs an internet connection. If you're offline or the reading service is temporarily down, the App tells you — try again later or enter your readings by hand. Everything else (history, trend, reports) works offline.

The App read a number wrong

Before saving, every reading is shown so you can check it against your monitor and correct it. If you notice a mistake later, open the record in History and fix or delete it. Readings outside realistic ranges are flagged for you to complete by hand.

What does the App measure, and why?

Which screens are opened and the actions taken in the App (for example, whether an analysis succeeded, with a generic error code), App and iOS versions, device model, approximate country and city derived from the connection, and crash and performance reports. It runs on our own server, it is never sold or shared, it is never used for advertising, and it is kept for up to 13 months. It never includes your blood pressure values, categories, report verdicts, profile or photos. To ask for deletion, email [email protected].

Which devices are supported?

Any iPhone running iOS 26 or later. The App is iPhone-only; iPad is not supported at this time. It works with any blood pressure monitor that shows its readings on a digital screen.

How do I report a bug?

Email [email protected] and include:

Can I suggest a new feature?

Of course. Email [email protected] and tell us what would make your diary better. Every idea is read, and the most requested ones shape the next updates.

How do I delete my data?

Delete a single record from History, your profile from My health profile, or everything by uninstalling the App: your measurements, reports, profile, preferences and identifiers are permanently removed from your device. If you want to keep your readings, export a CSV from Trend first. There is no account to close. For the server records and anonymous analytics data, email us and we'll delete them.
