How to use spotAI Music

Play music without an account

You do not need to sign in to listen. Open the App and the home feed loads immediately — tap any track to start playing. Browsing and searching work in guest mode.

An account is only needed if you want to save favorites.

Find a track or an artist
  1. Open the Search tab
  2. Type the name of a track, an artist, a genre, or a tag
  3. Tap a result to start listening right away

You can also browse the Explore tab to discover new releases and trending tracks, and filter them by genre.

Keep music playing with the screen off

spotAI Music supports background audio. Once a track is playing you can lock your iPhone or switch to another app and the music continues.

Use the lock screen or Control Center to pause, resume, and skip without reopening the App.

On Android the music keeps playing with the screen off or in another app, and the media notification and the lock screen show play, pause, and skip controls.

Sign in to save favorites
  1. Open the Favorites tab or your profile
  2. Choose Sign in with Apple (iPhone) or Continue with Google (iPhone and Android)
  3. Complete the authentication with Apple or Google. On Android, pick one of the Google accounts on your phone in the system sheet

With Sign in with Apple you can choose Hide My Email — we then only ever see Apple's private relay address, never your real one. Either way, your password is never shared with us.

Save or remove a favorite

Tap the heart on any track to add it to your favorites; tap it again to remove it. Your favorites live in the Favorites tab and stay with your account, so they survive reinstalling the App or switching to a new phone.

This feature requires being signed in — it is the only reason the account exists.

Sign out

Open your profile and choose Sign out. This removes the session token from your phone (the iPhone Keychain, or Android's encrypted app storage). The App keeps working for listening in guest mode.

Signing out does not delete your account — see "How do I delete my account?" below.

Account and privacy

How do I delete my account?

Inside the App: open Profile → Delete account and confirm. The account is deleted on our server right away and you are signed out.

Without the App: email [email protected] from the address linked to your account, with the subject "spotAI Music Account Deletion".

If you signed in with Apple using Hide My Email, send the request from that private relay address so we can match it to your account.

We delete the account and everything linked to it — provider identifier, email, display name, country, favorites, and ratings — within 30 days, and confirm by email when it is done.

Deleting the App from your phone removes your session from the device but does not delete the server-side account. Use one of the options above for that.

Do you store my data on any server?

If you never sign in: no personal data at all. Playback counts are recorded anonymously, with nothing linking them to you.

If you sign in: we store your provider account identifier, your email only if Apple or Google sends it, your display name, your country, and the favorites and ratings you create. Nothing else. Full detail in the Privacy Policy.

Do you show ads or track me?

No. There is no advertising, no third-party analytics, no attribution or crash-reporting SDKs, and no tracking across other apps or websites. The only outside service the App can talk to, besides our server, is the sign-in provider you choose. On iPhone it does not request App Tracking Transparency permission; on Android it does not use the Advertising ID.

We do not sell or share your data with third parties.

What permissions does the App request?

None of the sensitive ones. spotAI Music does not ask for location, camera, microphone, contacts, photos, calendar, Bluetooth, local network, or notifications.

The App declares the background audio capability so music keeps playing with the screen locked. That is a playback capability, not a permission — iOS does not show a dialog for it and it gives no access to your data.

On Android the App uses only permissions that are granted at install time without a dialog: internet access to stream, a media-playback foreground service so the music keeps playing with the screen off, and a wake lock so the connection does not drop while it plays.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to pay anything?

No. spotAI Music is free, with no In-App Purchases, no subscription, no premium tier, and no ads. There is nothing to buy, nothing to cancel, and nothing to restore.

Is the music really made by AI?

Yes. Every track in the catalog is generated with artificial intelligence and published on the spotIA platform. Artist names, cover art, and descriptions may be synthetic too. Nothing in the catalog is a recording by a real performer, and no association with any real artist or label is implied.

Can I upload my own music from the App?

No. The App, on iPhone and on Android, is for listening only. Uploading and publishing music happen on the web at spotia.ingenieria.dev.

Can I listen offline?

Not yet. spotAI Music streams the catalog, so an internet connection is required. There is no download-for-offline feature in this version.

A track I favorited disappeared. Why?

The catalog is dynamic — tracks can be added, changed, or removed by the platform at any time. If a track is removed it stops being playable, including from your favorites. This is not a bug in your account.

The music stops when I lock my phone

Background audio is supported, so this should not happen. Try these steps:

  1. Make sure the App is updated to the latest version
  2. Check that Low Power Mode is off — it can suspend background activity
  3. Confirm your connection is stable; streaming stops if the network drops
  4. Force-quit the App and reopen it

On Android, some phones close background apps to save battery. Open Settings → Apps → spotAI Music → Battery and choose Unrestricted; on Xiaomi phones also enable Autostart for the App.

If it persists, email us with your phone model and its iOS or Android version.

I can't sign in with Apple or Google
  1. Check that you have an active internet connection
  2. For Sign in with Apple, confirm you are signed into iCloud in Settings
  3. On Android, make sure a Google account is added in Settings → Accounts and that Google Play services is up to date
  4. On iPhone, try the other provider to isolate the problem
  5. Restart the App and try again

Remember you can keep listening in guest mode while we sort it out — only favorites need an account.

Which devices are supported?

spotAI Music runs on iPhone with iOS 26 or later, and on Android phones with Android 8.0 or later. It is not optimized for tablets, and there is no Mac, watch, or TV version at this time.

How do I report a bug?

Email [email protected] with:

Can I suggest a new feature?

Yes, and it is genuinely useful. Email [email protected] and tell us what you would like to see. Offline listening and playlists are the two most requested so far.

I believe a track infringes my rights

Email [email protected] with a link to the track and a description of the issue. We review every report and remove content where appropriate.
