One-line summary Screenshot for AI does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. All screenshots are saved locally on your Mac. Nothing leaves your machine.

1. Who we are

Screenshot for AI (hereinafter, "the App") is developed and operated by Ingeniería.dev, led by Chris Flores (hereinafter, "we", "the Developer").

2. What data we collect

None. Screenshot for AI was built with privacy by default. The App:

Does not require registration or an account
Does not ask for your email, name, phone number, or any personally identifiable information
Does not access your contacts, microphone, photos library, location, or calendar
Does not include any third-party SDKs for analytics, advertising, tracking, or crash reporting
Does not send telemetry, usage metrics, or screenshot content to any server we control
Does not have a backend — there is no server associated with this app

3. System permissions requested

Screenshot for AI requests two macOS system permissions. Both are used exclusively on your local machine and their data is never transmitted:

Screen Recording (ScreenCaptureKit)	Capture the selected screen area and save it as a PNG file on your Mac. Screenshot for AI only reads pixels in the rectangle you draw — it never records continuously.	Never. The PNG is saved to your local disk only.

If you revoke this permission in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen Recording, the capture feature will stop working until you re-enable it.

4. What is stored on your Mac

The App stores the following data locally, all of it confined to the macOS sandbox:

This data is never sent to the Developer's servers. If you delete the App, all preferences are removed with it. Screenshots saved to disk remain until you delete them manually.

5. External services

None. Screenshot for AI does not make network requests of any kind. It is a fully offline app. There are no API calls, no telemetry endpoints, and no software update pings beyond what macOS itself handles for Mac App Store apps.

6. Marketing and advertising

The App displays no ads. We do not collect data for remarketing, profiling, or any promotional purpose. We do not participate in ad networks, and we do not sell information to third parties.

7. In-app purchases

Screenshot for AI is a one-time paid download ($4.99 USD) with no in-app purchases, no subscriptions, and no ads. Payment is processed exclusively by Apple through the Mac App Store; no payment data is processed or stored by the App or the Developer.

8. Minors

The App is rated 4+ and is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. Because the App requires no registration and collects no data, it complies with COPPA (US), LGPD Infantil (Brazil), and GDPR-K (EU) by design.

9. User rights (GDPR, CCPA, LFPDPPP)

Even though we collect no data, the following rights are guaranteed by design:

Right to access: All data lives on your Mac and is directly accessible to you.
Right to rectification: You can change any preference at any time in Settings.
Right to erasure: Uninstalling the App removes all preferences. Delete screenshots from your disk to erase them.
Right to portability: Not applicable — no data exists on external servers.
Right not to be subject to automated decisions: The App does not use algorithmic profiling.

10. Security

The App runs inside the macOS App Sandbox, which restricts its access to only the resources it explicitly requests. Local data is protected by macOS disk encryption (FileVault). The App makes no outbound network connections.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the App or to applicable law. The current version will always be published at this URL, along with the date of the last update. Material changes will also be announced in the App Store release notes.

12. Governing law

This Policy is governed by the laws of the United Mexican States, in particular the Federal Law on Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (LFPDPPP). Any dispute will be submitted to the competent courts of Mexico City.
