Synthwave glass.
Rotating world. Bombs.

Retro Block Pro is a modern puzzle game wrapped in 1980s synthwave aesthetics and iOS 26 Liquid Glass. Neon-glow tetrominoes drop from random columns onto a 40-column rotating cylinder, while Bomberman-style bombs spawn on the stack and explode when you land on them. Everything runs on the iPhone — no internet, no account, no ads.

The story behind Retro Block Pro

Retro Block Pro is what happens when an arcade classic meets a 1985 neon highway.

I grew up loving the block-stacking arcade genre, but I always wanted it to feel less like a puzzle on graph paper and more like driving through a Miami sunset at 124 BPM. So I rebuilt it: the playfield is a rotating cylinder, not a fixed grid; the pieces drop from anywhere along the top, not always centered; and bombs spawn on top of the stack to give you a second-order strategy on top of the classic mechanics.

The visual layer is pure Synthwave Glass — vaporwave colors (cyan, magenta, violet, lime, amber, pink, electric blue) sitting on top of iOS 26 Liquid Glass materials, with a perspective Outrun grid scrolling behind the playfield and a soft neon glow on every block. The soundtrack, called NEON DRIVE, is an original synthwave composition in A minor at 124 BPM, written by Ingeniería.dev specifically for this app. No samples, no covers, no licensed material — just an arcade dreaming about a future that already happened.

This is the puzzle game I wanted in my pocket. Built for anyone who remembers, and for anyone who wishes they had been there.

What it does

Synthwave Glass aesthetics Neon palette (cyan, magenta, violet, lime, amber, pink, electric blue) over a deep indigo void, with translucent iOS 26 Liquid Glass materials, an Outrun-style perspective grid scrolling at the horizon, and a soft glow on every falling block.
40-column rotating cylinder world The playfield is not a fixed grid — it is a 40-column cylinder where only 10 columns are visible at a time. The world scrolls one column every 6 seconds, so blocks you place travel out the left edge and return from the right around 4 minutes later.
Random-column tetromino spawn Pieces drop from a random column along the top of the playfield instead of always appearing in the center. The chaos forces real-time planning instead of memorized openings.
Bomberman-style bombs Bombs spawn every few seconds on top of the existing stack. Land a piece on a bomb and it detonates, carving a 5×5 hole through the blocks below — extra demolition strategy layered on top of the classic line-clear mechanics.
NEON DRIVE original soundtrack An original synthwave track in A minor at 124 BPM, composed by Ingeniería.dev specifically for Retro Block Pro. No samples, no covers, no third-party audio — just an in-house 1985-future highway-cruise loop.
