Painted Day (hereinafter, "the App") is an iPhone app that paints a new painting across your day. You set the hours of your day — 8 AM to 10 PM by default — and the canvas, blank when your day begins, is complete when it ends: how much of the painting is done shows how much of your day has passed. Each painting is generated by the App's own algorithms on your device from that day's date and a random value created on your iPhone; the App uses no artificial intelligence and no cloud service. Tapping the painting keeps a "moment", marked with a fleck of gold leaf and an optional one-word note. When your day closes, the painting is signed with its number and date and kept in the Gallery. You can export a painting as an image or as a 15-second timelapse, share it or save it to Photos, follow today's painting in a widget, and receive an optional local notice at the end of your day. The App works in portrait and landscape, is available in English, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese, and requires no account or login.
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Painted Day on iOS devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and to Apple's Standard EULA.
You may keep, print and share the images and timelapses you export from the App for personal, non-commercial purposes, including posting them on social media. Selling them, using them in products or merchandise, or any other commercial use requires our prior written permission. The free timelapse carries a small "Made with Painted Day" mark; please do not remove it.
Painted Day is a free download. The free version paints every day with Watercolor and Ink, which take turns each day, and includes moments, the Gallery, the widget, the end-of-day notice, image export at 1080 px and the 15-second timelapse with a discreet "Made with Painted Day" mark. There is no advertising, no subscription, and no time limit.
Complete Atelier (product ID dev.ingenieria.paintedday.atelier) is an optional, non-consumable In-App Purchase for a one-time price of $4.99 USD (pricing may vary per country according to the Apple App Store price tiers). It adds four styles — Pointillism, Loom, Cross-stitch and Color fields — lets you choose the style of each day, and unlocks image export in 4K and timelapses without the mark. Pay once, keep forever: it does not expire and does not renew.
The purchase is processed exclusively by Apple through your Apple Account using StoreKit. Apple acts as the payment processor; we never have access to your payment card, billing address, or any other payment data. The price is always shown on the purchase screen before you confirm.
Because the Complete Atelier is a one-time transaction, there is nothing to cancel. You will not be billed again. The App offers no subscriptions and has no billing cycle.
If you reinstall the App, or install it on another iPhone signed in to the same Apple Account, open Settings in the App and tap Restore purchase — or tap Restore purchase on the Complete Atelier screen. The App asks Apple for your purchase and unlocks the Complete Atelier again at no cost.
The Complete Atelier supports Family Sharing. If you have Family Sharing enabled on your Apple Account, members of your family group can use the Complete Atelier on their own iPhone without paying again. Configure Family Sharing in Settings → [your name] → Family Sharing or follow Apple's guide: support.apple.com/en-us/108380.
All refunds are handled by Apple, not by the Developer. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple Account, locate the Painted Day purchase, and follow the refund flow. Apple applies its own refund policies. If a refund is granted, the Complete Atelier features are no longer available, and the App goes back to alternating Watercolor and Ink.

Painted Day does not require you to create an account or sign up. The App works immediately after installation without any login, email, or personal identifier. Your purchase is tied to your Apple Account, not to an account with us.

In short: your paintings, your moments, their notes and your settings live on your device; the App's only permissions — a local end-of-day notification and adding to Photos — are optional; purchases are processed by Apple; and the App measures how it is used with our own first-party analytics — never your notes or your paintings — which is never linked to your identity.
How much of the painting is done follows the hours you set and your iPhone's clock, as an approximation designed to be seen at a glance. It is not a timer or an alarm: do not rely on the painting, the widget or the end-of-day notice for anything time-critical. The notice is a convenience scheduled on your iPhone, and it may arrive late or not at all if notifications are turned off, a Focus is on, or your iPhone is off. The widget updates on the schedule iOS allows, so it may lag behind the painting in the App.
Each painting is generated by algorithms and is designed to be different every day, but we do not guarantee that two paintings will never look alike. The Loom and Cross-stitch styles use generated geometric patterns; they are not reproductions of the traditional designs of any particular community.
Your paintings and moments are stored only on your iPhone, and the App has no sync between devices. If you delete the App, they are deleted with it; export the paintings you want to keep. The App keeps the screen on while the painting is open so you can watch it; this uses more battery, and leaving any screen on for long periods can contribute to wear on some displays. The App keeps the painting moving, shifts it slightly over time and can dim it at night to reduce this, but how long you leave it on is your choice.
Painted Day, its code, design, interface, icon, painting engine, styles, palettes and brand are owned by or licensed to Ingeniería.dev and are protected by Mexican and international intellectual property laws to the extent applicable. These Terms do not transfer any ownership to you — only a license to use the App and the paintings you export as described in Section 3.1.
The App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without any express or implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy of content, or uninterrupted operation, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, nor for any loss arising from your use of or inability to use the App, the loss of paintings, moments or notes, or a notice that did not arrive. The Developer's aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App and its In-App Purchase, or USD $50, whichever is greater. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived under the laws of your country of residence.
You agree to indemnify and hold the Developer harmless from any claims arising from: (a) your use of the App in violation of these Terms, or (b) your violation of third-party rights.
We may suspend or terminate your license if you breach these Terms. You may terminate this license at any time by uninstalling the App. Uninstalling removes your paintings, moments and settings from your iPhone, but it does not cancel or refund a completed purchase; it stays on your Apple Account and can be restored.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be published at this URL, along with the date of the update. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes your acceptance. Material changes will also be announced inside the App.
Apple Inc. is not a party to this agreement and is not responsible for the App or its content. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and Apple's Standard EULA, the terms more restrictive and applicable to Apple under the App Store Review Guidelines shall prevail.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Mexican States. Any dispute shall be submitted to the competent courts of Mexico City, and both parties expressly waive any other jurisdiction that might otherwise apply based on current or future domicile, to the extent permitted by the mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
