Float Notes Pro is a menu bar app, so it has no Dock icon. After the short welcome screens, your pet appears on screen and a cat icon appears in the menu bar. No permissions are requested — the App works right away.

• Your pet floats over all apps, even in full screen. Click it to open your notes.
• The menu bar icon gives you Show / hide notes, New note, Show or Hide pet, and Settings.

1. Click your pet (or press ⌃⌥N from any app)
2. Start typing. The first line becomes the note's name unless you add a title
3. There is no Save button — every change saves itself as you type
4. Press Esc or click outside the panel to go back to your pet. Your note is saved first

To start a fresh note, use New note in the menu bar menu (⌘N while the menu is open).

• Title: type an optional title above the text; it is shown in the notes list.
• Color: click the color dot in the note's toolbar and pick a pastel background.
• Pin: click the pin icon (or right-click a note in the list → Pin to top) to keep it above the rest.

With the notes panel open, press ⌘F or click the search icon in the list header, then type. Press Esc to leave search.

Right-click any note in the list:

• Copy text — copies the note to the clipboard
• Export as text… — saves the note as a .txt file wherever you choose
• Delete note… — asks for confirmation, then deletes it

1. Open Settings from the menu bar icon (⌘,)
2. In Pet, choose from 16 pets and 25 coats — cats, puppies, bunnies, pandas, dinos, ghosts, penguins, and more
3. Pick its size (Small, Medium, Large), and turn animations or naps on or off
4. Drag your pet anywhere on screen — it remembers its spot

Your pet breathes, yawns, naps when you're away, and sends hearts when you write a note.

Use Hide pet in the menu bar menu, or turn off Show pet on screen in Settings. Your notes stay available from the menu bar and the ⌃⌥N shortcut.

In Settings → Behavior, choose how the notes panel goes back to your pet:

• When I click outside (default)
• When the pointer leaves
• Only when I close it

You can also turn on Open when the pointer rests on your pet, choose a panel size (Compact, Regular, Roomy), or drag the corner grip for a custom size. Esc always returns to your pet.

• Global shortcut: ⌃⌥N shows or hides your notes from any app. Turn it off in Settings if it conflicts with another app.
• Open at login: turn it on in Settings so your pet is ready when you log in.
• Text size and Appearance (System, Light, Dark) are in Settings too.

2. Pick English, Español, Português, Deutsch, Français, or 日本語

The App switches language immediately. Your choice is stored on your Mac.

Float Notes Pro is a one-time purchase of $9.99 USD (pricing may vary per country according to Apple's App Store price tiers). There are no subscriptions, no in-app purchases, no premium tiers, and no ads. Pay once, keep forever.

If you reinstall Float Notes Pro on the same Mac or install it on a new Mac signed into the same Apple ID, the Mac App Store automatically recognizes the purchase — there is nothing to restore.

1. Open the Mac App Store
2. Click your name at the bottom-left to see your purchased apps
3. Find Float Notes Pro and click the download icon

If the App Store asks you to pay again, check that you are signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.

Refunds are handled by Apple, not by the Developer. To request one:

1. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com
2. Sign in with your Apple ID
3. Locate the Float Notes Pro purchase and choose Report a Problem
4. Pick a reason and submit the form

Float Notes Pro supports Family Sharing. If you have Family Sharing set up on your Apple ID with purchase sharing turned on, members of your family can install Float Notes Pro on their own Mac without paying again.

3. Family members can then install Float Notes Pro from their purchased apps in the Mac App Store

No. Float Notes Pro is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. Nothing auto-renews, nothing gets billed again, and there is nothing to cancel.

No. Your notes, backups, and settings live only on your Mac, inside the App Sandbox. Float Notes Pro has no account, no backend, and makes no network requests. There are no analytics, no crash reporters, and no third-party SDKs. See our Privacy Policy.

No. By design, notes stay on the Mac where you wrote them, and there is no iCloud sync. To move a note, use Export as text… or Copy text.

Yes, locally. Once a day, and only when you have notes, the App saves a snapshot of your notes inside its own sandbox container. It keeps the 10 most recent snapshots and removes older ones automatically. These backups live on the same Mac and are removed if you uninstall the App, so we also recommend Time Machine for a full backup of your Mac.

macOS removes the App's sandbox container, which includes your notes, backups, and preferences. Export any note you want to keep before uninstalling.

It doesn't need any. The ⌃⌥N shortcut uses the standard macOS hot-key API, which works inside the App Sandbox without Accessibility permission, and the App only learns about that exact key combination. The "click outside to close" option notices mouse clicks only while the panel is open, and never observes typing.

Another app may already use the same combination. Check:

1. Settings → Global shortcut is turned on
2. Quit other apps that register global shortcuts and try again
3. You can always use your pet or the menu bar icon instead

Open the menu bar menu (cat icon) and choose Show pet. If it is already shown, make sure Show pet on screen is on in Settings. If you disconnected a display, the pet returns to your main screen the next time the App launches.

Float Notes Pro is a macOS-only app for now.
