Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Blood Pressure Tracker (hereinafter, "the App") is developed and operated by Ingeniería.dev, led by Chris Flores (hereinafter, "we", "the Developer").

2. What data we collect

None. Blood Pressure Tracker was built with privacy by default. The App:

• Does not require registration or an account
• Does not ask for your email, name, phone number, or any personally identifiable information
• Does not access your contacts, camera, microphone, photos, location, or calendar
• Does not include any third-party SDKs for analytics, advertising, tracking, or crash reporting
• Does not send telemetry or usage metrics to any server we control
• Does not transmit your blood pressure readings or health data to any external server

The health data you enter (blood pressure readings, pulse, notes, timestamps) is classified as Health data under Apple's App Store privacy labels — it is collected solely for App Functionality, it is not linked to your identity, and it is not used for tracking.

3. What is stored on your device

The App stores the following data locally using SwiftData on your iPhone:

This data is never sent to the Developer's servers. If you delete the App, all of this information is removed with it.

4. External services used

The App makes no network requests of its own. All processing happens locally on your device.

4.1 Apple Health (HealthKit)

If you grant permission, the App reads from and writes to Apple Health via the HealthKit framework. This integration is entirely optional and controlled by you through iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health. Specifically:

• Write: Blood pressure readings and pulse rate you log in the App are written to Apple Health so they appear in the Health app and can be shared with healthcare providers.
• Read: The App may read existing blood pressure records from Apple Health to display a unified history.

Data shared with Apple Health is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not access, store, or transmit any Health data outside of your device.

5. System permissions

Blood Pressure Tracker requests the following system permissions:

• Health (HealthKit) — read & write: Required to log blood pressure and pulse readings to Apple Health and to display any existing readings stored there. Permissions are granted through Apple's standard Health authorization dialog. You can revoke these at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Blood Pressure Tracker.
• Notifications (optional): Used only for local reminders you configure yourself (e.g. "Measure at 8 a.m."). No notifications are sent from any server.

The App does not request access to:

• Location, camera, or microphone
• Contacts, calendar, or reminders
• Photos or media library
• Bluetooth or local network

6. Marketing and advertising

The App displays no ads. We do not collect data for remarketing, profiling, segmentation, behavioral analysis, or any promotional purpose. We do not participate in ad networks, and we do not sell information to third parties.

7. Minors

The App is rated 4+ and is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. Because the App requires no registration, it complies with COPPA (US), LGPD Infantil (Brazil), and GDPR-K (EU) by design.

8. User rights (GDPR, CCPA, LFPDPPP)

Even though we collect no data on our servers, the following rights are guaranteed by design:

• Right to access: All your data lives on your device and is accessible from within the App and from Apple Health.
• Right to rectification: You can edit or delete any reading at any time within the App.
• Right to erasure: Uninstalling the App deletes all associated SwiftData. You can also delete individual readings inside the App. Health data in Apple Health can be deleted via the Health app.
• Right to portability: The App provides CSV and PDF export so you can take your data anywhere.
• Right not to be subject to automated decisions: The App does not use algorithmic profiling or automated health decisions.

9. Security

Local data is stored inside the iOS sandbox, protected by the operating system and by device-level disk encryption (Apple's Data Protection API). HealthKit data is further protected by Apple's dedicated Health data encryption layer, which cannot be accessed by other apps without explicit user permission.

10. Health and wellness context

Blood Pressure Tracker is a personal tracking tool, not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, monitor, or prevent any medical condition. The readings you log are for informational purposes only. Always consult a qualified physician for the interpretation of your blood pressure data and for any healthcare decisions.

The App does not use any decision support algorithms or clinical thresholds to classify your health status. Any reference ranges shown (e.g. "normal", "elevated") are general educational references sourced from publicly available guidelines and do not constitute medical advice.

11. International transfers

We do not perform international transfers of personal data because we do not store personal data on any server. If you choose to sync with Apple Health, that data is governed by Apple's privacy terms and iCloud data residency settings.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the App or to applicable law. The current version will always be published at this URL, along with the date of the last update. Material changes will also be announced inside the App.

13. Governing law

This Policy is governed by the laws of the United Mexican States, in particular the Federal Law on Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (LFPDPPP). Any dispute will be submitted to the competent courts of Mexico City.
