This agreement is entered into between you (the end user) and Ingeniería.dev, operated by Chris Flores, with its registered address at Av. Javier Barros Sierra 495, Santa Fe Lomas de Santa Fe Zedec Santa Fé, Álvaro Obregón 01219, Mexico City, CDMX, Mexico. Contact: christian@irack.mx.
Costa Rica Backpackers is an iOS application designed for backpackers and independent travelers visiting Costa Rica. It provides a curated list of tourist places (natural areas, towns, viewpoints, beaches, waterfalls, and other points of interest) and automatically discovers nearby hostels and budget accommodations for each place. The App works offline after an initial content sync and requires no account or login.
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Costa Rica Backpackers on iOS devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and to Apple's Standard EULA.
tours.ingenieria.dev)Costa Rica Backpackers is free. The App contains no In-App Purchases, no subscriptions, no advertising, and no paid content. There is nothing to buy, nothing to cancel, and nothing to restore.
Costa Rica Backpackers does not require you to create an account or sign up. The App works immediately after installation without any login, email, or personal identifier.
See our Privacy Policy. In short: all your favorites, trip plans, and cached data live on your device; we do not collect or transmit personal information; and your location is never sent to any server.
The places, hostels, descriptions, photos, and other information provided through the App are curated manually and sourced from publicly available information. We cannot guarantee that the content is always current, complete, or accurate. Specifically:
Always verify critical travel information through official local sources before departing. The Developer is not responsible for any inconvenience, cost, injury, or loss arising from reliance on content provided by the App.
When you enable the "Nearby alerts" feature in Profile, the App registers local geofences with iOS. These geofences are managed entirely on-device by the operating system. You may disable this feature at any time from Profile → "Nearby alerts" (toggle off). You can also withdraw location permissions from iOS Settings → Costa Rica Backpackers → Location. The Developer is not responsible for missed alerts due to device settings, iOS restrictions, or lack of cellular coverage.
Tapping "Open in Google Maps" or "Open in Apple Maps" launches a third-party application. The Developer is not responsible for any data handling, routing errors, or other actions performed by third-party mapping applications. Using those applications is subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
Costa Rica Backpackers, its code, design, interface, text, and brand are the property of Ingeniería.dev and are protected by Mexican and international intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer any ownership to you — only a license to use the App. Photographs and descriptive content sourced from third parties remain the property of their respective owners.
The App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without any express or implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, content accuracy, or uninterrupted operation. Travel involves inherent risks; the Developer does not assume any responsibility for your travel decisions or outcomes.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, nor for any personal, financial, or property loss arising from your use of or inability to use the App, or from any travel decision made based on its content. The Developer's aggregate liability shall not exceed USD $50.
You agree to indemnify and hold the Developer harmless from any claims arising from: (a) your use of the App in violation of these Terms, (b) your violation of third-party rights, or (c) any travel or personal decisions made based on the App's content.
We may suspend or terminate your license if you breach these Terms. You may terminate this license at any time by uninstalling the App.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be published at this URL, along with the date of the update. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes your acceptance. Material changes will also be announced inside the App.
Apple Inc. is not a party to this agreement and is not responsible for the App or its content. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and Apple's Standard EULA, the terms more restrictive and applicable to Apple under the App Store Review Guidelines shall prevail.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Mexican States. Any dispute shall be submitted to the competent courts of Mexico City, and both parties expressly waive any other jurisdiction that might otherwise apply based on current or future domicile.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
