Terms of Use

End User License Agreement (EULA) · NetReveal · Last updated: May 12, 2026 · Version 1.0

Before you continue By downloading, installing, or using NetReveal, you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App. These Terms supplement Apple's Standard EULA, which also governs your use of the App; in the event of conflict on a point not addressed here, Apple's Standard EULA prevails.

1. Parties

This agreement is entered into between you (the end user) and Ingeniería.dev, operated by Chris Flores, with its registered address at Av. Javier Barros Sierra 495, Santa Fe Lomas de Santa Fe Zedec Santa Fé, Álvaro Obregón 01219, Mexico City, CDMX, Mexico. Contact: christian@irack.mx.

2. App description

NetReveal is an iPhone application that scans the local Wi-Fi network and nearby Bluetooth devices, then identifies each device it finds — cameras, printers, computers, smart speakers, routers, smart bulbs, NAS, and so on — using mDNS/Bonjour discovery, TCP port probes inside the local /24 subnet, an embedded IEEE OUI database, and Bluetooth Low Energy scanning. The App highlights devices that look like hidden cameras or microphones to help users perform a basic privacy check of unfamiliar networks (for example, short-term rentals).

3. License

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use NetReveal on iOS devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and to Apple's Standard EULA. Apple's Standard EULA is the primary license agreement governing the App; these Terms add app-specific rules on top of it.

3.1 Restrictions

4. Pricing

NetReveal is free. The App contains:

There is nothing to buy, nothing to cancel, and nothing to restore. Every feature is unlocked from the first launch on any iPhone that meets the system requirements (iOS 26.0 or later).

5. Acceptable use

NetReveal is designed to help you understand the network you are currently connected to. By using the App, you represent and agree that:

You must not use NetReveal:

NetReveal performs only passive discovery and benign single-shot TCP connection attempts. It does not send authentication credentials, does not exploit known vulnerabilities, and does not retrieve content from any discovered service. Even so, jurisdictions vary, and the responsibility for ensuring lawful use lies entirely with you.

6. Detection accuracy

Important notice NetReveal helps you spot devices that look like cameras, microphones, or other surveillance hardware based on network signatures (port numbers, mDNS service types, MAC vendor OUIs, hostnames). It is not a certified counter-surveillance or bug-sweeping tool, it does not guarantee that a hidden camera or microphone is or is not present, and it must not be relied upon as the sole basis for any safety, legal, or financial decision.

The App may fail to detect a device for many reasons, including but not limited to:

Conversely, the App may flag a device as suspicious that is in fact a legitimate consumer product. Confidence labels (high / medium / low / suspicious) are heuristics, not verdicts. Always combine NetReveal's output with a visual sweep of the room and, if your safety is at stake, contact local authorities or a licensed counter-surveillance specialist.

7. Accounts and authentication

NetReveal does not require you to create an account or sign up. The App has no login screen, no email field, and no password to remember. We do not manage credentials of any kind.

8. User data

See our Privacy Policy. In short: all your data lives on your device; we do not collect or transmit personal information. The App makes no internet calls and uses no third-party SDKs.

9. Intellectual property

NetReveal, its code, design, interface, text, and brand are the property of Ingeniería.dev and are protected by Mexican and international intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer any ownership to you — only a license to use the App. The embedded IEEE OUI prefix data is public information used solely to label devices for the user and is attributed to its respective registrants.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without any express or implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We do not guarantee that NetReveal will detect every device on a network, will correctly identify every detected device, or will surface every hidden camera, microphone, or tracker that may be present in a room.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, nor for financial losses, safety incidents, privacy breaches, or property damage arising from your use of, reliance on, or inability to use the App. Because NetReveal is provided free of charge, the Developer's aggregate liability shall not exceed USD $0 (zero dollars). Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations of liability; in those jurisdictions, the limitations apply only to the extent permitted by law.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold the Developer harmless from any claims arising from: (a) your improper or unlawful use of the App, including scanning networks you have no right to scan, (b) your violation of these Terms, or (c) your violation of third-party rights.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your license if you breach these Terms. You may terminate this license at any time by uninstalling the App from every iOS device on which you installed it.

14. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be published at this URL, along with the date of the update. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes your acceptance. Material changes will also be announced inside the App.

15. Relationship with Apple

Apple Inc. is not a party to this agreement and is not responsible for the App or its content. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and Apple's Standard EULA, the terms more restrictive and applicable to Apple under the App Store Review Guidelines shall prevail.

16. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Mexican States. Any dispute shall be submitted to the competent courts of Mexico City, and both parties expressly waive any other jurisdiction that might otherwise apply based on current or future domicile.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
