Before you continue By downloading, installing, or using Flashlator, you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Parties

This agreement is entered into between you (the end user) and Ingeniería.dev, operated by Chris Flores, with its registered address at Av. Javier Barros Sierra 495, Santa Fe Lomas de Santa Fe Zedec Santa Fé, Álvaro Obregón 01219, Mexico City, CDMX, Mexico. Contact: christian@irack.mx.

2. App description

Flashlator is a free iOS application for digital nomads, travelers, and anyone who needs to communicate across languages. It provides on-device translation across 12 languages using Apple's Translation framework, voice input via SFSpeechRecognizer, text-to-speech output via AVSpeechSynthesizer, and local bookmarking of favorite translations via SwiftData. The App is designed for personal, non-commercial use. It requires iOS 18 or later and is optimized for iPhone.

3. License

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Flashlator on iOS devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and to Apple's Standard EULA.

Flashlator is free. The App contains no In-App Purchases, no subscriptions, no advertising, and no paid content. There is nothing to buy, nothing to cancel, and nothing to restore.

5. Accounts and authentication

Flashlator does not require you to create an account or sign up. The App requires no Apple ID interaction beyond the standard App Store download. We do not manage passwords or login credentials.

6. User data

See our Privacy Policy. In short: all your data (bookmarks, preferences) lives on your device; we do not collect, transmit, or share any personal information or translation content.

7. Translation accuracy disclaimer

Important notice Translations produced by Flashlator are generated automatically by Apple's on-device Translation framework and may not be accurate, complete, or suitable for any specific purpose. Machine translation cannot guarantee linguistic, cultural, legal, or medical accuracy.

Do not rely on Flashlator for:

For critical communications, always use a certified human translator. The Developer is not responsible for errors, omissions, or consequences arising from reliance on machine-generated translations.

8. Intellectual property

Flashlator, its code, design, interface, text, and brand are the property of Ingeniería.dev and are protected by Mexican and international intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer any ownership to you — only a license to use the App. The underlying on-device translation engine is provided by Apple and governed by Apple's own terms.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without any express or implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, translation accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, nor the accuracy of any translation output.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, nor for any harm — including physical, financial, or reputational — arising from your use of or reliance on translation output produced by the App. The Developer's aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid for the App during the 12 months preceding the claim (which is zero, since the App is free).

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold the Developer harmless from any claims arising from: (a) your improper use of the App, (b) your violation of these Terms, (c) your violation of third-party rights, or (d) decisions you make based on translations produced by the App.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your license if you breach these Terms. You may terminate this license at any time by uninstalling the App.

13. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be published at this URL, along with the date of the update. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes your acceptance. Material changes will also be announced inside the App.

14. Relationship with Apple

Apple Inc. is not a party to this agreement and is not responsible for the App or its content. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and Apple's Standard EULA, the terms more restrictive and applicable to Apple under the App Store Review Guidelines shall prevail.

15. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Mexican States. Any dispute shall be submitted to the competent courts of Mexico City, and both parties expressly waive any other jurisdiction that might otherwise apply based on current or future domicile.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
