Crystal Maze uses simple swipe controls:
The orb moves one cell per swipe. You cannot move through walls.
Navigate your glowing orb downward through the maze as far as possible. A descending laser chases you from above — if it reaches your row, the run is over. Collect crystals scattered through the corridors to increase your score. The deeper you go and the more crystals you grab, the higher your score.
The laser is a wall of light that moves down from the top of the maze. It starts slow and accelerates as you progress deeper. You cannot destroy or pause it. The only way to survive is to keep moving down. If you spend too long chasing a crystal in a side corridor, the laser will catch you.
Your score is built from two sources:
The best scores come from balancing speed (staying ahead of the laser) with detours (grabbing crystals in side corridors).
Your best scores are saved automatically on your device and displayed on the main screen. High scores persist between sessions. Uninstalling the App deletes all saved scores permanently.
No. The App collects nothing. No accounts, no analytics, no tracking, no network requests. Your scores and preferences live on your iPhone and nowhere else. See our Privacy Policy.
No. Crystal Maze is 100% offline. It works in airplane mode. The App makes no network requests of any kind.
No. The casino-style visuals (neon glow, particle effects) are purely cosmetic. There is no real currency, no virtual currency, no wagering, no loot boxes, and no randomized purchases. Crystal Maze is a skill-based arcade game.
No. Crystal Maze is free, with no In-App Purchases, no subscription, no ads, and no paywall. Every feature is available from the first launch.
Currently iPhone only.
Any iPhone running iOS 17 or later.
Not in v1.0. Scores are stored locally on the device. iCloud sync may be added in a future update if there is demand.
The maze is procedurally generated in real time as you descend. A randomized algorithm creates corridors, dead ends, and crystal placements ahead of you. No two runs produce the same layout.
